The November writing contest has been posted! This month, the topic is “Previous Triwizard Tournaments”. As we learn in the Goblet of Fire, the Triwizard Tournament originated about 700 years ago, but was discontinued “when the death toll mounted to high”. For this contest, put on your Rita Skeeter spectacles and create a news story, complete with fictional interviews, about events that lead to the Twiwizard Tournament’s suspension. Read more about the topic and the rules here. Thanks to SiriusBSirius for the contest idea, and good luck!

I'm not clear, though, as to whether the prior Tournament written about absolutely has to be the one immediately preceding the suspension. There could have been interesting ones in the more distant past without quite so much carnage. Guess I'll have to hop over to the Contest Corner and see.Avatar ImageLunaLuver says: I may just try my hand at this. Doesnt say anything about the word count, I too need to pop over to the rules and found out all the details. :)Avatar Imagezonkoltd says: The rules state "Please keep your articles to a minimum of 500 words or less." Does that mean exactly 500 words...?!Avatar ImageWON_TWO says: I think its a fun thing... however, I wish it was 1,000 word limit instead.Avatar Imagekiwimci says: I always say I'll do one of these, this time maybe I will... maybe
