Our beloved friends at the Harry Potter Alliance (HPA) are starting to rap up their current Accio Book Campaign. To those who are not familiar with the HPA, they are the driving force of a world renowned, Harry Potter fan-made, charitable organization. They are proof that our fandom makes a difference in the world. As a force for good, they would make Dumbledore proud. The Accio Book Campaign has put over 86,000 books in the hands of underprivileged, underserved readers. This year, before the last week of the 2013 Accio Book Campaign, they have received 15,000 book donations. However, they need some assistance from the loyal Harry Potter fandom to reach their goal of 25,000 books.
Donations are tallied as Hogwarts House points. Currently, Ravenclaw is leading by leaps and bounds. As a reward for their generosity, HPA will be live streaming with Ravenclaw special guest, Evanna Lynch. They will be broadcasting today–Saturday, May 25–from 3-5 pm EST. You can see the broadcast here.
For more information on the Accio Books Campaign, you can visit the campaign website here.

If you wish to make a tax deductible donation, you may do so here.
We have been very proud of the loyalty, love, and generosity of our fandom. As books are what brought us together, this particular campaign is very near and dear to our hearts. Along with HPA, we are the real Dumbledore’s Army–let us be a force for good in the world! Thank you all for making this fandom as great as it is.
