Kazu Kibuishi’s new back cover artwork for the last three books has been released by Scholastic. The new covers are in honor of the fifteenth anniversary of the Harry Potter series and will go on sale August 27th.
The back cover of the Order of the Phoenix shows Harry and the DA in the Department of Mysteries, while the Half-Blood Prince shows Harry and Dumbledore talking near the Pensieve, and the Deathly Hallows shows Harry’s final duel with Voldemort. You can see all the cover art – front and back – here.

Avatar ImageMad But Happy says: I want the Deathly Hallows back cover as a poster, lol. Very nice :)Avatar ImageEeyore says: Nice to see, but I still prefer the original ones. Books 5, 6, and 7 by Mary Grandpre are my favorites. The new ones just feel very flat, to me. I also have to wonder what my reaction would have been if those particular scenes had been on the covers. I took great pains to avoid spoilers and the later Grandpre covers didn't give much away. Now that I've read the books many times, it doesn't matter and the new covers are a nice nod to certain important or favorite moments in the books. But I wouldn't have wanted that much information before I read them the first time.Avatar ImageWON_TWO says: I will always love the originals... The new SS one is quite good tho' I think.
