Judi Dench called upon British stars to join her in raising awareness for clean waters and marine life.  She asked her fellow actresses and entertainers to pose naked, using only various marine wild life to cover themselves and maintain their modesty. Among those who contributed to the project were Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix), Fiona Shaw (Petunia Dursely), and Zoe Wanamaker (Madame Hooch). Judi Dench’s sustainability project is to honor World Oceans Day on June 8. Moviepilot posted a quick-quipped article, saying:

The scaly and scandalous Fishlove campaign seeks to raise awareness about the damage being done to our open waters – all too often plagued by reckless over-fishing – and hopes to inspire more people to buy their pesci products from sustainable sources.

Keen not to let the younger stars have all the fishy fun, 80-year-old James Bond star Judi Dench said she was drawn to the campaign because she has “always loved the sea.” I’d be hard pushed to argue with her, considering how up close and personal she got with the marine life…

“The best part of the shoot was that it is not every day you get to cuddle one. The worst part was that I didn’t get to eat it.

“I hope the campaign will achieve awareness of what we are doing to the planet.”
