The exhibition measures  1,400 square meters, and comprises dramatic displays inspired by the Harry Potter film sets (Hagrid’s Hut, the Great Hall and the Gryffindor Common Room) along with authentic costumes, props and creatures (Buckbeak, a Hungarian Horntail and a Dementor) from the films. Visitors will also be able to partake in activities such as pulling a screaming Mandrake from its pot, or throwing a Quaffle in the Quidditch area.

From SnitchSeeker:

“It’s amazing to see so many hardcore Harry Potter fans in China. They love the Harry Potter films, collect the books and even dressed up as wizards and witches!” said James Phelps. “Seeing them eager to immerse themselves in the Harry Potter experience is overwhelming, the response to the exhibition during last night’s event was fabulous. This is our very first ever visit to China and we love Shanghai, it’s a beautiful city and spending time with fans surrounded by all the great costumes, props and creatures brought us lots of surprises and good memories from working on the films! “ added Oliver Phelps.

An exclusive audio tour is also available, providing behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the Harry Potter films, with commentary from the producers, prop designers, costume designers and creature designers.

Tickets are on sale now. The exhibition will be running in Shanghai until 28th February 2016.
