Empire reports that Daniel Radcliffe is set to star in We Do Not Forget with Zachary Quinto. The film will be directed by Zach Helm, financed by First Look Media and produced by Antoine Fuqua of Fuqua Films.

According to Empire We Do Not Forget

“will spin a fictionalised account of a real battle between the hacker collective known as Anonymous and Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas. After Anonymous apparently discovered 25,000 Mexican government emails that carried Zetas member names and business information, the group threatened to release the information after one of its members was taken hostage by the cartel. For their part, the Zetas hired security experts to track down the hackers, and the plan also caused friction within the group, with some worried that targeting such a dangerous organisation put everyone at risk.”

Deadline reports that the film is on track to shoot before the end of 2016. The president of First Look Media, Michael Bloom, has stated the project covers “a subject that we’re close to, handled in a way that’s powerful and complex.”.

There is no word yet on who Radcliffe and Quinto are set to play. According to Empire, the rights to the film will most likely be sold at this month’s Toronto Film Festival.
