Fans, News

Fans can now submit their own videos to the J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World Youtube channel dedicated to showing off videos from fans of the Wizarding World.

The call for fan submissions states:

“We want to see how you celebrate your love of the spellbinding stories from the world of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, the exciting new release coming this November.”

At the moment J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World is looking for following type of submissions:

1. Cosplay (the Wizarding World team is especially interested in original, step-by-step guides that show the creation process of different kind of costumes)

2. Creations/DIY (crafts, recipes, decorations, and more – the more creative you can be, the better)

3. Pottermore Discoveries (house sorting, Patronus test, etc.)

4. My Fan Collection (share your collections of books, collectibles, etc.)

5. Challenges (all sorts of challenges related to your love for the wizarding world)

Wizarding World wants your videos to be “creative and wholly original”, which means your work should not feature brand logos or music, clips, and stills from third party film or TV content. The videos should be 5-15 minutes in length and appropriate for fans across the world (so no rudeness, swearing, etc.)

Please take into account the following info given by the Wizarding World team:

“Please do not submit any parodies, fan films, mash-up videos using material from the films or other content; page-by-page displays of any publishing products; reviews of any books, films or other content; or proposals for new characters or new storylines and make sure that your video complies with our Submission Guidelines. Thank you; we don’t want you to submit videos we can’t showcase! “

For more information on how to submit your work, you can access the call for submissions from here.

If you want to see what kind of videos there are already on Youtube, you can watch them from J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World’s showcase, which features their favorite videos from fans from all around the world.
