A Celebration of Harry Potter 2017

Universal Studios Orlando Resort is hosting it’s annual Celebration of Harry Potter January 27 – 29, 2017! With recent updates to their website, making the first announcements of special guests and events to expect, tickets to the events and vacation packages for the Celebration of Harry Potter 2017 are now on sale.

According to the Universal Orlando website, two of the special guests expected at the celebration are Harry Potter actors Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and Warwick Davis (Griphook, Flitwick). The websites announcement reads:

“At A Celebration of Harry Potter™, you’ll have the chance to see some of your favorite actors from the Harry Potter™ films. Plus, enjoy interactive question and answer sessions with select film talent to discover what it was like to work on one of the most successful franchises in history.

“In addition to those listed below, other Harry Potter™ film talent will be attending the event. Check back for more announcements in the coming weeks.”

According to the press release for the event,

“Creative talent also set to appear at the event includes Nick Dudman, make-up and creature effects designer for the Harry Potter films; Pierre Bohanna, head prop-maker on all of the Harry Potter films; Paul Harris, the world’s only Wand Combat choreographer; Mary GrandPre, famed illustrator for the Harry Potter books; and designers Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina of MinaLima, who established the visual graphic style of the Harry Potter films and of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

The Harry Potter expo is expected to be the largest in Harry Potter event history, and will include Harry Potter/Warner Bros. partners such as MinaLima, Pottermore, Warner Bros (Fantastic Beast and Harry Potter affiliates), Scholastic,Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. Universal writes:

“Make your way through interactive displays in this one-of-a-kind collection of Harry Potter™ and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them partners. This year, we’re excited to bring fans and guests new experiences from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Warner Bros. Games and the Harry Potter™ Digital Audio Books, along with returning favorites Pottermore, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, MinaLima, Harry Potter™: The Exhibition, Scholastic, and much more.”
