Starting this Thursday at 8pm on BBC One comes a new, five-part wildlife series entitled “Spy in the Wild.” With the heartwarming voice of David Tennant narrating the scene, this show will use life-like robots to give a first-person view of animal behaviour in the wild.
The robots blend in to give us a glimpse of these animals exhibiting behaviours we otherwise would not get a chance to see if they knew we were close by. They show emotions such as grief, friendship, and even empathy.
The BBC One twitter tweeted out this preview a couple of days ago, where David Tennant narrates the kind actions of a chimp who has decided to adopt a kitten.
This chimp adopts a kitten and the result is pure cuteness overload. ??#SpyInTheWild. A new five-part series. Starts Thursday. 8pm. pic.twitter.com/3fYuC7Qy5e

“Over the course of the series, viewers will also see a baby crocodile travelling down a river in the jaws of its mother, a group of monkeys mourning over a robot, and a mother in a pack of African wild dogs protecting her litter from a predatory lioness.”
Between David’s narration and the overload of cuteness that is that chimp, I’m not sure I’d make it a minute into the show without swooning. Find out more about it here!
