Yesterday marks the 77th year that the wonderful John Hurt has graced this planet. With his phenomenal acting skills, John Hurt is truly a gift. Today we would like to invite you to join us in celebrating John Hurt’s (belated) Birthday.

He portrayed the beloved Garrick Ollivander in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as well as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. He was also originally set to appear in The Goblet of Fire but the character was cut from the film.

He is currently set to appear alongside Gary Oldman in the upcoming film Darkest Hour about Winston Churchill during World War II. He will portray Neville Chamderlain, while Oldman plays Churchill.
