After the announcement of Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts, we’ve been keeping up with the cast of the next movie prior to filming of the next  film, and they don’t seem to be getting any less busy! We bring news of a slight Potter and Fantastic Beasts cast crossover, growing rumours of Ezra Miller’s appearance as Credence Barebone in the second movie and shots from Jude Law, Katheirne Waterston and Zoe Kravitz’s new movies.

Johnny Depp in Kenneth Branagh’s ‘Murder On The Orient Express’

A Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts cross over ensues in the star-studded cast of  Kenneth Branagh’s (Potter‘s Gilderoy Lockhart) take on Agatha Christie’s Murder On The Orient Express. See clips of Branagh and Johnny Depp in the film from Entertainment Weekly below.

Branagh said the following of making more films taking on the roles as detective Poirot:

“I would be thrilled, I must say,” says Branagh, who also directed Murder on the Orient Express. “I have enjoyed it enormously, to delve into the nature of the character, to read more of the books, to understand, to admire with greater intensity what Agatha Christie’s talents were. That’s been really a great, great creative treat. So, I’d be absolutely delighted to do more, yeah.”

The film will release in the UK on November 3rd 2017. See the cover of Entertainment Weekly, featuring the cast, here.

Ezra Miller In Fantastic Beasts 2 and Possible Clashes With ‘The Flash’

As Ezra Miller’s The Flash movie lost its second director (but now has possibly picked up the director of Back to the Future – go figure!), and its release date of March 16th 2018 was doubted, on-screen father Billy Crudup revealed that his titular role as The Flash may have to be pushed back further due to Miller’s busy schedule. He says:

“Ezra’s schedule… Ezra’s a busy man, he’s very popular and excellent.”

Screen Rant reports that Miller will return for the second Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and producer David Heyman previously spoke about a cut scene that could explain how that’s possible:

“We actually had a scene, which we cut, which was Credence going to a boat, to get on a boat somewhere else,” says the producer. “But we cut that, because we didn’t want to have it be such an, ‘Ahhh, here we go.’” [It was] him getting on a boat, maybe a boat with Newt, maybe not, and heading off out of New York.”

We’re hoping this means we’ll be seeing Ezra in the movie, even if it means he’ll have to have super speed to make filming of The Flash!
