MinaLima have been busy working on the Fantastic Beasts film series (which they discussed at A Celebration of Harry Potter, and at their London Design Festival talk), but in the meantime the House of MinaLima has been travelling, and we’re being treated to new works by the graphic design duo.

The Little Mermaid and Other Fairy Tales is the fourth book in a series of illustrated classics by Minalima and published by Harper Design, and publishes on March 22nd. Just like their editions of Peter Pan, The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast, this edition features vivid, unique illustrations and interactive pages.
Mermaids in the Potter film series were pretty terrifying, but MinaLima have conjured an enchanting imagining of the mermaids in this tale, alongside many others!
Other interactive elements hint at the other fairytales involved in Hans Christian Anderson’s original work (which compiles 17 original stories, including The Princess and the Pea, Thumbelina, The Red Shoes, The Wild Swans and The Snow Queen). MinaLima’s edition will include interactive dancing mermaids, the magical transformation of duckling to swan, a princess searching for that infamous pea, and the Snow Queen’s frosty palace.

MinaLima will also celebrate the launch with a new narrative gallery within The House of MinaLima in London, opening on April 25th 2018:
“To celebrate the launch of their latest book, MinaLima will create a narrative, whimsical gallery within their London-based House of MinaLima. Opening to the public on Wednesday 25 April 2018, the theatrical gallery space will showcase the book artwork as limited edition prints from all four publications: Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, The Beauty and The Beast and The Little Mermaid and Other Fairytales. Available in editions of 250, the art prints are numbered, embossed and signature-stamped. “
