The Weasley twins joined Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima at the grand opening of Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday, Nov. 16.

James and Oliver Phelps have attended numerous exhibition openings over the last decade and are always warmly welcomed by fans of the Harry Potter series. The brothers portrayed Fred and George Weasley, two of the most beloved characters of the books, while Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima comprise another dynamic duo, the wizards behind the graphic design of the film adaptations.

At the Madrid opening in 2017, the twins discussed their personal favorites from the exhibition, saying, “Fred and George’s items are obviously really good,” and added, there’s also a “really cool pub where you can hear Voldemort speak to you.”

In an audiocast from that opening, the Phelps also spoke to Chief Creative Officer of GES Eddie Newquist, noting that they’ve always been “blown away by how immersive [the exhibition] is.” Newquist reflected, “We knew that fans wanted to interact with the world and not just see things in cases.”

For this reason, fans will find many open displays and a setup that allows attendees to feel like they’re in the rooms and halls of Hogwarts. With the addition of many new props since the first exhibition in 2009, there’s a wealth of pivotal pieces and nostalgic treasures, which combine to create a unique, magical experience for fans.
