After breaking pre-sale records for both Barnes & Noble and Amazon, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child continues to make waves. The script book–which has reached 3.3 million in sales in the U.S. and 850,000 in the U.K.–debuts this week at the No. 1 spot on The Wall Street Journal’s best-seller list.

An unexpected result of this has been a sizeable boost in the sales of the other books in the series, including spinoff books. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone hit No. 8 on the list with 35,000 print copies sold in the U.S., while The Tales of Beedle the Bard currently sits at No. 10.

Of the Cursed Child script book’s success, David Shelley (C.E.O. of Little, Brown Book Group) said:

“This is way beyond our most optimistic expectations and is testament to the passion readers have for J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, as well as to the amazing reception the play itself has had.”

In addition to its lucrative print sales, Cursed Child managed to reach the top of Apple’s iBooks best-seller list last week. Multiple booksellers anticipate the script book to be their best-selling book of the year.
