Bloomsbury, Books - Release Dates, Companion Books, Cover Art, Cover Artists, Fantastic Beasts, Lumos, News, Publishers, Quidditch Through the Ages, Scholastic, Tales of Beedle the Bard

Complementing the new cover for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them are coordinating covers for both  The Tales of Beedle the Bard and Quidditch Through the Ages. Sporting a charming (no pun intended) vintage look, these three volumes comprise the Hogwarts Library Box Set, which will be released in both hardback and ebook formats on March 14, 2017.

As usual, Bloomsbury will be the UK publisher, and Scholastic will supply the U.S. market.  Proceeds will go to Comic Relief and Lumos, as they have for previous editions.

The Scholastic covers are by Headcase Design and feature a 1920s-era aesthetic.  The Bloomsbury covers are in a more modern children’s book style created by Jonny Duddle.

If you’re looking for an excuse to add these editions to your collection despite owning the original versions, as Leaky reported previously, J.K. Rowling has added a new foreword by Newt Scamander, as well as six new beasts.

Whether you favour the U.S. or UK covers is entirely a matter of personal taste.
