After a 12-year hiatus from theater, Dame Maggie Smith, otherwise known as Professor Minerva McGonagall, returned to the stage on April 12 to star in Christopher Hampton’s A German Life, which will enjoy a limited 5-week run at the Bridge Theatre in London.

As previously reported by Leaky, the production is a solo drama about the life of Brunhilde Pomsel. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Pomsel’s story takes place in 20th century Germany and follows her experiences as a secretary in Berlin during the 30s working for employers ranging from a Jewish insurance broker to the German Broadcasting Corporation and, later, Joseph Goebbels.

Photos From Tom Burke’s Rosmersholm Rehearsals

Tom Burke, the titular lead in the television adaption of J.K. Rowling’s Cormoran Strike series, is set to appear onstage in the upcoming production Rosmersholm from Duncan MacMillan via Sonia Friedman Productions. Previews begin at the Duke of York’s Theater April 24 with the official opening set for May 2, so the cast has been deep in the rehearsal process in preparation. Rosmersholm Play released the above photos featuring Burke, who plays the character of John Rosmer.

The plot synopsis is described as follows:

“An election looming. A country on the brink. A rabid press baying for blood. At the centre of the storm is Rosmersholm, the grand house of an influential dynasty. This is where the future will be decided by John Rosmer – a man torn between the idealised hope of the future and the ghosts of his past.”

The second Broadway cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child took the stage March 20, and it is hard to believe a year has passed since the official opening of the magical production in New York City with the original London cast. In celebration of this milestone anniversary, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child put out a special video marking “One Magical Year on Broadway!”

To further commemorate the anniversary, Broadway.com‘s Resident Artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson created the following in-character portrait featuring the new cast: James Snyder (Harry Potter), Diane Davis (Ginny Potter), Nicholas Podany (Albus Potter), Jenny Jules (Hermione Granger), Jonno Roberts (Draco Malfoy), Bubba Weiler (Scorpius Malfoy), Matt Mueller (Ron Weasley) and Nadia Brown (Rose Granger-Weasley).
