Reader LadyofthePensieve has let us know that Carlsen, the German HP publishers, have announced that the German edition of HBP will be released on Oct. 1, 2005. Saturday’s network premiere of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, which featured a GoF preview and the first GoF teaser, gave ABC a second-place showing in the ratings, next to Fox’s NASCAR broadcast, Variety reports today. Preliminary figures say 7.9 million people tuned in. (Oops! Headline now corrected to read ‘Saturday.’ Thanks to Michael.)
