ITV has announced that J.K. Rowling’s lawyers have filed suit against the New York Daily News alleging that because the spoilers were posted on the Internet, they could be seen in Britain and were thus breaking an injunction. Scholastic and Rowling filed the suit in the federal district court for southern New York.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that not only will bookstores be open for midnight revelers, at “various Eason’s stores throughout Northern Ireland, representatives from the Brownies and Girl Guides will be holding a special Harry Potter theme night prior to the release.”
