3 large egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup (151.2g) white granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Medium-sized mixing bowl
Medium plain piping tip
Makes 4-5 dozen cookies.
Preheat oven to 200Â° F (93.3Â° C).
Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium-sized bowl, at high speed, beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until fluffy.
Gradually beat in sugar, and then add vanilla.
Place mixture in a pastry bag fitted with a medium plain piping tip.
Pipe 3" (7.62cm) bone shapes onto the lined cookie sheets.
Bake 1 hour until set. Turn oven off.
Dry in oven 1 additional hour.
Store in airtight container.
