HP Car on EBay Block

An HP-airbrushed car is going for about 10,000 GBP on eBay right now; the car was custom painted and airbrushed by Darren Horton with a plethora of Azkaban images. The item says the airbrushing took eight weeks to complete. Thanks to everyone who emailed!

Some sadly eerie news via the Swedish Rowling Fan Club site - The swedish paper Aftonbladet writes today that they have found pages from the Swedish version of OotP (Harry Potter och Fenixorden) in the ruins after the tsunami struck a hotel in Khao Lak in Thailand. As the article says,

Yes, of course you can pop into a store and get a copy of PoA on DVD today - but if you're in the States, you can also pick up a watch online or via the Home Shopping Network's 9am (eastern) sell-a-thon. There will be a second show of the Harry Potter watches on again tonight at 11pm(eastern).


Edinburgh Seeks Literary World Capital Title

Jo Rowling's hometown of Edinburgh seeksto be declared the world capital of literature, a title that could draw such ceremonies as the Whitbread and the Nobel Prize for Literature. The BBC reports that many of the cities best-known writers, including Jo Rowling, are backing the campaign.
