JK Rowling has been named one of the Entertainers of the Year by Entertainment Weekly magazine. While the stars of LOTR are on the magazine’s cover, JKR is joined on the list by 50 CENT, comics ELLEN DEGENERES, JACK BLACK and WILL FERRELL, UMA THURMAN, BEYONCE KNOWLES, SEAN PENN and COLDPLAY.

The Sunday Mail reports that Prince William’s university classmates have nicknamed him Prince Potter after JK Rowling’s wizard hero, because of a lightening-shaped scar that he’s now sporting, as a result of a golfing accident.

Several readers have written to point out this article on potential photographic evidence of a haunting at former King of England Henry VIII’s palace, Hampton Court. While the tie to Harry Potter is pretty much non-existent (although maybe this is a relation of Sir Nick’s?), we found it interesting enough to bring to your attention.
