Fred & George’s First Encounter with Filch Contest

While doing
some clean up work in preparation for another year at Hogwarts School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry, we stumbled across a few old boxes that looked
like they had been hastily hidden behind a wardrobe in the Room of
Requirement. Inside the boxes we found a couple of portable swamps and
some Weasleys’ Wild-Fire Whiz-Bang fireworks. Needless to say, we ended
up doing a lot of additional clean up when one of the contest staff
members accidentally set off the box of fireworks and another staffer
had the not-so-brilliant idea of putting out the fireworks by using the
portable swamp…but we digress. Our luck improved drastically when we
discovered a large stash of time turners”since they were all supposedly
destroyed several years ago.

Of course we tested the time
turners to see if they still worked (like a charm!). Much to our delight
we were transported back to Fred and George Weasley’s first year at
Hogwarts when they were young but not exactly innocent. We were so
fascinated by these Masters of Mischief and Mayhem that we decided to
hold a contest in their honor. So put on a time turner and go back to
the day when Fred and George encountered the Hogwarts caretaker, Argus
Filch, for the first time. Write a story of no more than 750 words
(which translates to about 12 inches of parchment) detailing the event.
Six clicks of the time turner should do it. Good luck!

and Guidelines:

Write a story of 750 words or less
about Fred and George Weasley’s first encounter with Filch. Please do not write about the Marauder’s map because that story has already semi-been told in Prisoner of Azkaban. Instead, think up some other instance that may be their first encounter.
