Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, News

Tickets for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child went on sale today, at 11:00 AM,  for those who registered for priority booking. Over 175,000 tickets were sold as of 7:00 PM GMT.

There are some tickets that still remain for the first booking period, for performances on July 7, 2016 through September 18, 2016. Producers have released tickets for a second book period, for performances September 21, 2016 through  January 8, 2017, for additional priority booking.

This Friday, October 30, 2015, when registration opens for the general public, producers will open more booking periods for performances at later dates, to ensure customers are given the best possible chance to buy tickets. The press release states that more information on those booking periods will be coming within the next 24 hours.

The “Harry Potter Play” Twitter account is regularly updated, and we will be keeping an eye on it. Currently the tickets that seem to be available for the first booking period are for performances during October 2016 through January 2017. The “Harry Potter Play” Twitter is also doing its best to answer questions if you have any trouble.

The number of tickets sold today is “unprecedented” for a theater production. As Cursed Child is the eighth Harry Potter we have all been waiting for, we expected nothing less than earth-shattering greatness.

The original press release states:
