Harry Potter co-stars Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis joined Emma Watson at the red carpet premiere of her newest film Beauty and the Beast yesterday night in LA!

Felton didn’t actually walk the carpet for photos (we’re told he’s keeping a low profile) but attended the event to support his previous coworker. Matthew Lewis shared a photo with Tom on his Instagram page after reuniting at A Celebration of Harry Potter in January, saying he was ‘much happier to see him than I like to let on’.

Emma Watson commented on her role as Belle at the premiere, saying that younger her (who, of course, was busy portraying Hermione) would have been bursting with happiness:

“This was a huge deal for me”

“I watched it as a child, you know, ad nauseam to the point where my parents were like, ‘We can’t watch it again, please.’ And so I feel like I’ve been incredibly blessed in my career so far. I already played Hermione who was one of my heroines. I played Sam in Perks of Being a Wallflower. But to play Belle is just feels like such an honor. And you know if my 5-year-old self knew I was going to get to do this, she would have died.”

She also spoke about the role she took in adapting Belle for the modern day:

“The original came out in 1992, and we’re in 2017, so I knew it needed to take a little bit of step forward”

“But what’s so lovely about this character is I feel like of the Disney princesses she was one of the more progressive already. That was already in her DNA, and it was a case of really emphasizing what was already there.”

She spoke about similar on Ellen, saying ‘I wanted [Belle] to be very active and in control of her own destiny’. Watch the full video below, along with Emma’s hilarious prank:

That was in equal parts painful and brilliant to watch. See the trailer for Beauty and the Beast here!
