Yesterday evening an exclusive screening of the first episode of BBC One’s Strike took place at the BFI in London, followed by a discussion with the cast and crew. The good news for those unable to be there? We finally have a release date!

BBC One announced that the seres will begin airing this month on August 27th at 9pm (BST):

The BBC’s TV adaptation of J.K. Rowling/Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series begins with The Cuckoo’s Calling, which is split into three episodes.

Guests at the event were hugely impressed by the series, with many commenting on the brilliant chemistry between Tom burke and Holliday Grainger:

Now all we need is more information about Lethal White, the fourth novel in the series, revealed by J.K. Rowling via Twitter back in March:

Holliday Grainger recently gave a short interview on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, talking about her love of the series and her portrayal of Robin Ellacott, listen to that here. Also expect an interview with Tom Burke in the latest TV Choice:

Were you at the event last night? Let us know your thoughts on the first episode if you were!
