Eddie Redmayne, Fantastic Beasts’ Newt Scamander has taken to social media today on behalf of JK Rowling’s children’s charity Lumos to send a message to fans about their current Crowdrise campaign and corresponding Fantastic contest. As reported by Leaky earlier this month, two of Redmayne’s Fantastic Beasts co-stars, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler, announced via livestream with Lumos, the competition which will award one lucky grand prize winner and their guest a full behind-the-scenes experience of the new film led by producer David Heyman and director David Yates, allowing them to see the set, meet cast and crew members and visit the Warner Bros Studio Tour. This also includes round trip air transportation for two to London, and three nights in a four star hotel in the capital. The competition is hosted by Crowdrise, and is only $12 to enter. The money raised goes to supporting Lumos Foundation USA.

Redmayne has been an advocate of Lumos since last year along with various other children’s charities supported by BBC’s Children in Need as covered here by Leaky. In the video below, the Fantastic Beasts star discusses the important work that Lumos does connecting institutionalized children with their families, deeming it a “wonderful cause”. He also teases some specifics about what the grand prize winner might expect to experience on the Fantastic Beasts 2 set, including possible face time with each of the actors and possibly an encounter with a stray niffler or two! Those who donate by 11:59pm ET may be eligible to win a book signed by J.K. Rowling as well.

Aside from being in the running to win the grand prize, the follow perks are available for those who donate:

Donate $24 for 2 entries and a digital thank you from Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol

Donate $48 for 4 entries plus a limited edition print featuring original illustrations by MinaLima for J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them screenplay

Donate $72 for 6 entries plus an exclusive black “be the light” t-shirt

Visit the official competition website here to enter. The winner of the grand prize must be available between 16th October – 10th November 2017. Read the official terms and conditions (including who is eligible to enter) here. The competition runs until September 20th at 11:59:59pm ET.
