Christmas starts early at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando, with this year’s celebration beginning November 16, 2019 and running through January 5, 2020. Hogwarts Castle will be festively decorated, as will Hogsmeade Village and Diagon Alley.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventures, a new ride at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure that takes you through the Forbidden Forest, will be opening June 13, so you will be able to enjoy that as well on your holiday visit. Check out our sneak peak here.
Admission to the theme park includes all of the holiday festivities. There is also a “Holiday Stay and Play Package”, available for travel from Nov. 16 through Dec. 31. The package includes base admission to all three Universal Orlando theme parks and five-night hotel accommodations. The package starts at $89 per person, per night for a stay at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites.
The other features of the theme park will also be decked out for the holidays, with seasonal decor and holiday meals in the hotels, concerts by Mannheim Steamroller, a “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular” that includes a live retelling of the Dr. Seuss classic story, and a Holiday Parade with over 30 balloons and floats and hundreds of performers. Of course you’re going to see Hogwarts decorated for Christmas and drink hot Butterbeer and listen to the Frog Choir and Celestina Warbeck & the Banshees sing carols, but you can also see all that other fun stuff, too, and placate any Muggles in your holiday party.
Are you going? What are you most looking forward to seeing?
