You ever have one of those times¦

You know, those times that seem like¦no matter what you do, no matter what you have, no matter your skills, no matter¦.anything¦.everything goes right south in a pretty little handbasket complete with decorative, but askew bow¦.

Yeah, I’m kinda having one of those¦several weeks.

Ya want some examples?

Okay, so, I got ready to stencil a t-shirt. I love stenciling t-shirts!!! I have a shirt¦somewhere, but I will worry about that later. I need to print a stencil¦*looks for printer for old computer that’s still not set up from moving 3 months ago¦* *finds print, sets up computer¦.can’t find cords* Well, phooey¦.

So¦I did what any Muggle would do¦.I went out and bought a new printer. Got home, got it hooked up to new computer¦except for USB cord that doesn’t come with printer! *nearly tosses new printer out of second story window*

Well, now, stenciling is on hold. Not because of the printer. I found a USB cord in the house, hooked it up, printed my stencil, cut half of it out¦but I had a dentist appointment today which makes me loopy. Loopy Princess with sharp instruments¦not a good idea.

Therefore, I grab my crochet hooks¦and some random yarn¦figuring I’d just play around a bit. Yeah, couldn’t get inspired to work on anything when I know I have projects I SHOULD be working on for commissions and gifts. I guess that’s when I took a nap instead.

Now tonight, after wasting a night on youtube, leaky, and various other sites, I get the urge to design. So I drag out my charts and pencils and get to work¦.which goes surprisingly fast¦so, maybe I will swatch it and see how it looks¦

Except, the yarn I want to use is WAY too thick for what I need. And so is the thinner yarn I was hoping would work¦.and I’ve gone down to the smallest size hook I can justify using¦and STILL it is too big.

New yarn it is¦or will be when I go shopping this weekend for it¦.because it’s like almost midnight.

*sigh*

I think that Real Life joker got a hold of a wand and has successfully confunded me into a craftless stupor.

If you need me¦.I will be huddled in the corner¦trying to remember where I put the pieces of my crafty shrine so that I can banish Real Life from my household.
