Yesterday. J.K. Rowling visited the set of the first Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them film, tweeting a photo of her chair on set, and (amusingly, seeing as she wrote the screenplay and is, well, J.K. Rowling) an I.D. badge!

When asked by a fan whether she was visiting Cursed Child or Fantastic Beasts, Rowling tweeted a serpent ’emoji’, indicating the latter.

We can only imagine what’s happening on set at now, and can’t wait to see what Rowling’s first original screenplay brings!

Production for the film wraps in January, as confirmed by Jenn Murray last week. Set in 1926 and centred around the core characters of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), Tina (Katherine Waterston), Queenie (Alison Sudol), and Jacob (Dan Fogler) amongst others, the first Fantastic Beasts instalment is set to be released November 18th 2016.
