Most of us grew up watching Disney’s animated classics. We all had our favorites. We fell in love with the story or the setting or the characters. And before we ever heard of Harry Potter’s Hermione Granger, Emma Watson fell in love with Belle.

Disney released video of Watson expounding on her childhood love for Beauty and the Beast, the live-action remake in which she now stars. Here Watson puts it in her own words:

Leaky recently reported on the brief clips of Watson singing “Belle (Reprise)” and “Something There.” And in only two short months, we’ll have the entire soundtrack stuck in our heads. (Not that we’ll mind!)

In addition to the video, Disney gave us another glimpse of Beauty and her Beast in costume with the release of the international film poster.

Belle

Unlike the previously released poster, seen here, Belle (Watson) and the Beast (Dan Stevens) are the central figures. They appear without the household staff, beloved though they may be, crowding the scene. Belle also stares into the distance rather than into the magical rose that holds the castle and its inhabitants under its spell. She’s aloof, but confident and inspiring!

As LRM Online says:

“As the producer of many of film’s greatest animated classics, [Disney studios has] shaped many of our childhoods, and as a result, have also shaped many of our futures.”

We look forward to seeing Watson in the movie on March 17th!
