Harry Potter Crafting, Take Me Away!

It’s been built up to a frenzy and yet, I’m not excited about it. Well, not like many others. What you ask? The new Harry Potter theme park.

Oh don’t get me wrong. Some day it would be nice to walk the streets of Hogsmeade and ride the Express but right now, I just can’t get excited about something I can’t afford to do. Even though I’m going to be in the Orlando area two weeks from now. Yes, I’m actually going to be one hour or so from the theme park and I’m not even thinking about going to it.

*waits for all the calls of ‘bad fanperson’*

It’s not that I don’t love Harry Potter, its just not within the budget! Yep, Real life rears its ugly head and at about $80 a ticket for the day? Just not a realistic way to spend a day and not feel guilty later. That’s not counting any spending I might choose to do in Ollivander’s or Honeyduke’s.

So until the day I can afford to visit Harry Potter’s world, I keep doing what I’ve been doing all along.

Crafting my own!

See, I can have my wizarding robes, and my own pygmy puff and owl, and my butter beer all in the comfort of my own home for now. Curl up with a good volume of Harry Potter and take myself to Hogwarts in my imagination with a few special effects. In fact, I think it’s time for me to visit…
