Rare Potter book sells at auction

A rare draft copy of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” sold at auction for 1,468 GBP or $2,500 USD. This proof copy of the book was considered valuable because of a printing error where the author is credited on the title page as JA rather than JK Rowling.

Leaky readers who were so quick to point this out to us, pat yourself on the back: the Guardian ran a correction today, saying that the WH Smith award would not be JKR’s first adult award (see more in our previous correction here)- as she won the Hugo in 2001.

HP Gets a Chuckle Out of the Queen

Rev John Sentamu) yesterday, the Queen had herself a chuckle when she named Albus Dumbledore as the headmaster of Hogwarts, the Daily Telegraph reported today.
