A beautifully bound copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard handwritten and illustrated by JK Rowling was auctioned on December 13th by Sotheby’s. Bound in leather and inset with semi-precious stones and a silver skull, the storybook was sold to an anonymous telephone bidder for £ 368,750 (468,383 USD).
