The casting news is piling up! Two months ago, J.K. Rowling confirmed that Alan Rickman’s godson, Tom Burke, would be playing lead detective, Cormoran Strike, in the up coming HBO/BBC series. This past weekend, Leaky reported that it was possible that Alan Rickman’s godson, Tom Burke, had been cast in the lead role of BBC 4 and HBO’s tv mini series adaptation of J.K. It has been a while since we last heard anything about the TV series adaptation of J.K Rowling’s adult mystery series. The Cormoran Strike series–currently comprised of three novels (The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm, and Career of Evil) and counting–adaptation was first announced in 2014. UPDATE: J.K. Rowling more explicitly stated that she is indeed, working on Strike 4. However, given that it is getting later in the year, and her work on Fantastic Beasts and Cursed Child, fans probably shouldn’t expect a Strike novel in 2016. It is always exciting to hear that J.K.
